Creativation 2017 was so busy and wonderful with tons of new items, like our 7Gypsies Architextures, Canvas Corp Garden to Table and Tattered Angels new Mini Mixed Media Origins! We will showcase the new and exciting products from CCB in the coming weeks, but today we are going to feature the new CC Collection Garden to Table and Crew Member, Marie Nicole‘s amazing table top decor that features the new collection and a wonderful assortment of Canvas Corp basics in burlap and canvas. The show was a wonderful place to be able to meet many of our Creative Crew Members that attended in person and Marie Nicole made the trip to the show with her amazing tabletop decor. Many of the Crew sent beautiful pieces of art to display in the booth, and we are so appreciative of that! We love being able to brag about the wide variety of skill and talent our Crew possesses!
Some of our Crew that attended helped set up the booth and manage some of the displays. Crew member Marie Nicole pieced together this casual table setting that showed off Canvas Corp’s burlap and canvas style. Just a few simple touches here and there and this table can go from a simple, everyday theme, to a great dinner party. Marie also used some of our new Herb inspired papers from the Garden to Table Collection by Canvas Corp to craft some place cards and a blank little recipe book that can be used to house your favorite meals, or given as party gifts so that your guests can write down and take home the menu.
At the trade show we love to show stores and designs fun ways to use and show who the product work and Marie did a wonderful job introducing the new papers with CC Tabletop and Home Decor basics including canvas chargers, table runners, pillows, burlap flowers, napkins and more. You can design your own table decor with just a few simple craft supplies and a vision. The new collection highlights the wonderful green and ivory papers that are just perfect with the herbs and gourmet accents.
On top of that, she draped one of our Skinny Burlap Runners over and along the sides, adding a little Burlap Flower to both ends. Our burlap flowers are so perfect for any kind of finishing touched on home decor or even mixed media! Canvas Corp offers table runners in different lengths and widths to suite your table decor needs.
Next, Marie placed four of our Round Placemats- two burlap and two canvas. The canvas ones were painted with just a little bit of Tattered Angels DIY and Decor paint in the colors Rosemary and Veridian. We love blank fabrics for the purpose of pairing them with any table theme, or painting them to make them fit into something more specific! It is fun to mix and match the different placemats and the settings to give the table a very beautiful, casual look.
On top of the placemats, Marie placed some of our Napkins folded two ways. The first shows our napkin folded around a dinner menu that was created with some of our Green and Ivory Lattice Papers and the text was added using the Cricut. The second way is to just cut a length of cardboard tube, hot glue on some of our Jute Cord, and then pull the napkin through, fanning out the ends. Add a 7gypsies Key and you are ready to open the doors to a wonderful party. So simple, affordable, and looks great! Adding your own dishes would be a breeze with such a neutral palate. Almost any style or color of dinnerware will work!
Every table setting deserves a centerpiece, and Marie kept in with the theme of simple by using a few potted herbs, wood slabs, and a little quote from our Herb Tags set. The pots were painted with some Crystal DIY and Decor paint, and some Jute Cord wrapped around the top and glued into place. Add a few small figurines like the ivory birds Marie added here to incorporate your own personality.
Create a simple centerpiece by gathering real or faux herbs and wrapping them with jute, slipping them into various burlap bags making each one a bit different. Easy for a party with many tables and you can put a star on 3 of the seats and the stars can take home the one of the herbs.
A simple grapevine wreath is a perfect addition to your chairs. Wrap with Canvas Corp’s Canvas Garland and add a burlap flower, it is that easy.
For some added inspiration, don’t stop with the table setting! Go ahead and make some invites, thank yous, and place cards. Your guests will feel so appreciated that you spent time welcoming them into your home. Marie used a variety of our papers that coordinate, including our Ivory cardstock, Kraft cardstock, and some of our new Herb Themed papers.
Don’t forget to make your guests feel remembered and special with some simple, handmade place cards and maybe even a parting gift. Marie made her place cards with some new Herb Papers, Ivory Tags, and Natural Clothespins. Handwrite each guest’s name and place near each setting!
Get creative with your party gifts! This little handmade book was so simple to put together with some of our Grunge Checker Paper. Leave the pages blank so the guests can fill it with some of their own thoughts or recipes, or fill it with your own recipes that you used for the dinner so they can take it home and make it for themselves again later!
Once your table is set and the invites, menus, and thank yous are made, don’t forget about the chairs! You don’t have to stop your decorating at the table. Marie took one of our Round Pillows as well as a Rectangle Pillow and decorated them to set on the seats. She also took a little bit of our Canvas Garland and another Burlap Flower to embellish a small grapevine wreath to hang on the back of one of the chairs. Small details that are easy to make sometimes pulls the whole look together!
Make a pillow for each chair when doing a small party, what a sweet touch.
The decor does not have to stop at the table. Check out these new burlap Plant Holders available in 3 sizes. They are perfect for slipping in those ugly plastic pots or maybe the pot does not match your decor.
Each holder has two small handles so you can add a tag or fun saying. These are great on the front steps, on the buffet table or just scattered in the kitchen. 
So many great new papers, canvas and burlap items that make it so easy to bring your creative party ideas to life. So if you are planning an upcoming wedding shower, ladies lunch, maybe bunco is at your house….see if any of these little touches will do the trick.
