We love creating with paper all year long, but there is something about the holidays that makes us want to just create, even when there is a busy world all around us. Taking a moment to create something for you, make cards for your wrapped gifts or a little holiday decoration can be the perfect way to relax and regroup during the holidays. We thought it would be fun to share some Simple Christmas Paper Craft Projects where the Crew plays with paper in fun and clever ways. Here are 10 fun paper crafting projects that you can do during some alone time or create with the kids.
Project #1 – Christmas Clip Tree
Erin created this fun paper tree that is ready to hold just about anything from paper cuts, photos, recipes, countdown to Christmas family actives, and more. Her clever use of VersaGrip Clips, is so fun, with the end result is a perfect little tree ready to sit on the front table, kitchen counter or just about anywhere. Erin mentions in her blog post, “I did not want a traditional “pine” tree with fake needles, I wanted something different, so I made one!!” You can find all the details to make a little tree like this on Erin’s blog Scraps of Life
Project #2 Shabby Chic Cards
Erin did not stop with her crafty little tree, she decided to create some fun holiday cards that are perfect to add to packages under the tree, slip into the stockings or to drop off at the neighbors. They may look difficult, but they are fun and simple. Some may like to create the same Christmas card for everyone, but not Erin. She shares on her blog “I love to give out Christmas cards, but I am not one to mass create a ton of the same card. I like to vary it up a bit and do different things; maybe it is the color, design, papers, or technique. Here is a couple of fun Christmas cards I made that will go some special people!”
Check out this video where Erin shows you how it is done.
Here is another card Erin created for the holidays, so very different, so whatever your style you can create cards that are all you.
