Zuzia is sharing this fun and kid-friendly tutorial with us today! We love how simple it is to create some soft plush toys for your children with just a few supplies. Our canvas fabric works wonderfully alongside our Tattered Angels paints so you can make any kind of animal or creature that you would like! This would be the perfect project to do with your children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, or even classroom!
As all children my girls love soft toys. In their tiny room they have soft toys everywhere. This was an inspiration for me to create a soft fish for them. They were absolutely delighted with this idea and at once they wanted to create their own soft toys. So I made a step forward and organized workshops with the kids where we created tons of soft kittens, owls, bunnies and teddy bears. You also must try it with your kids. Help them with drawing the pattern on the fabric, let them paint and then help them with sewing. It is really great fun and wonderful way to spend some quality time with your kids.
Draw a pattern on a piece of fabric and then color it with high impact paints. You can also use glimmer glam paints. They will give a wonderful shiny effect. Let dry.
Put another piece of fabric (of the same size) under your project and sew them together leaving some part unsewn so that you can fill your toy with a pillow filling.
Afted filling your toy with pillow filling sew the hole and you’re done.
To reach the pastel colors we mixed Decor DIY white paint with High impacts paints.
We just love how Zuzia mixed our High Impact paints with the DIY and Decor paints to create some lovely pastels! If this inspires you to create your own plushies, please share and tag CCB so we can see! We love finding projects from our readers!
Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today. Happy Crafting!
