Start with this vintage inspired old library drawer – 7gypsies mini librarie drawer and fill it will halloween goodies made with an assortment of atc size cards, embellishing them bits of this and that and touches of glitter in just the right places.
Create classy, vintage inspired flowers by making your own centers from old jewelry, found beads or jewels. The touch of burlap in the back brings it all together. Pull the burlap part a bit which is so easy to get this great look.
Decorate the front of your drawer with your vintage flower, little ribbon, lace or other embellishments you have in your stash.
Now it is time to fill the drawer with fun Halloween mini cards that are so simple and easy, but oh so fun. The backs of the cards are blank, so consider putting fun little Halloween messages, using them as a countdown to Halloween or adding fun conversation starters for a Halloween party. Fill you bottles with glitter, beads or other little goodies that coordinate and wrap the bottle with one of the apothecary labels and sneak it into the front of the drawer.
Sheila layers pieces from the papers from the Haunt It Collection (you can also find all you need in the Haunt It Mix and Match Pad – papers, fabrics and more), burlap, lace, ribbon, etc. Add fun crystals and embellishments and top with Glitter Glue or brush on Tattered Angels Chandelier Glimmer Glam to get this look. There are no rules, just have fun, here are some of the cards Sheila made to go in her tray, be inspired and then put your own fun combinations together.
The Black E-flute is a great surfaces for cards and tags and you can rough it up exposing the kraft paper on the inside. Embellish with old pieces of jewelry, even if broken don’t through throw old jewelry away, there is always a perfect spot for them. Cut shapes like this fun simple star from the canvas and embellish with bits and pieces of rick rack and gross grain ribbon.
The 7gypsies pins are a great way to add charms, keys, buttons and more and can be pinned through paper or cloth. We love the layer of silk fall leaves behind the Cowboy costume found in the Haunt It: Halloween Costume paper, these simple touches add such fun texture to Sheila’s project.
We hope you are as inspired as we are to add a little vintage, elegant touch to your Halloween decor this season. Stop by Sheila’s blog for vintage inspiration, tutorials and lots of great ideas.
