The crew found ourselves out and about this weekend spending time at The Little Craft Show in our hometown of Springdale, Arkansas. We had the honor of being a part of the show this year with a little make and take booth, which gave us the perfect excuse to peruse every booth, talk to so many of the amazing customers and witness the such beautiful creativity.
Downtown Springdale is changing every day with new additions like this new amazing pavilion at Shiloh Square where the Makers of The Little Craft Show set up their wares. Each booth so well designed and filled with one of a kind amazing pieces. The isles were packed from the minute the fair opened and despite a little rain (something we are all getting used to) the crowds kept coming.
Our little part of this adventure was to contribute a free make and take to share with the families spending time at the fair. We created this sweet little banner that was created with goodies from Canvas Corp, Tattered Angels and 7gypsies. We love how well these brands play together. Each project was glued together with our glue of choice Beacon’s 3 in 1 Craft Glue. Everyone was so amazing how quickly it glued together our mini burlap cones.
Along with the vendor booths there were amazing, unique food vendors and fun little activities like this vintage photo booth, just jump in and snap a shot, so darn cute. We were part of the hands on make and takes and were set next to the The Scott Family Amazeum booth (The Amazeum will feature 44,500 square feet of exhibit, meeting and learning spaces inside the museum. It will also bring learning to life and enhance family involvement, while evoking a sense of curiosity and discovery through hands-on activities. Interactive exhibits will engage visitors with the land, industries and people that built the Arkansas culture and sustain it today. Exhibitions include the Tinkering Studio, water area, climbable tree canopy and an exploratory wet lab, that will open very soon next to Crystal Bridges in Bentonville, Arkansas.
and our make and take table filled with lots of goodies including punches from Marvy Uchita and 3 in 1 Glue from Beacon.
We created this fun little mini banner that was a perfect craft for all ages and left two little cones that were perfect for adding flowers from the meadow, treasures from a vintage shop find or little rocks picked up along the trail. There were big smiles as each person finished their sweet banner.
These sweet little banners were created with Canvas Corp Burlap Shapes, Canvas Corp Printed Paper, 7gypsies Rubbings and Tattered Angels Glaze. We had a chance to expose brand new crafters to so many fun products. Amazing them when we showed them how the Rubbings went right onto the burlap and how to make cones with round burlap pieces and also letting them play with Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze – the nail polish for craft products. We have some new fans!!!
We were also glad to see our friends from Everything Mary as fellow sponsors for the event.
Amber and the entire Little Craft Fair team were so creative in converting a plan outdoor pavilion into a creative place to be. We created these oversized canvas pole wraps and the crew painted them to add amazing color and design in welcoming the shoppers.
Handpainted wooden signed help guide everyone where they needed to go and set the tone for this handmade little fair.
We also loved this special little sign that is all about sharing your stories of the area with this new website – #springdalestories – is an exciting new way to share stories from around the district. Our hope is to connect our buildings to each other and to connect the community to our buildings.
We appreciate begin apart of such an amazing event and look forward to seeing what The Little Craft Fair will do next. If you would like to find out more about being a vendor or attending the next show follow The Little Craft Show on Facebook.
We love seeing creativity all around us!!!
Happy Creating
