Hello everyone! How is your weekend going so far?
It’s Monica Taylor here with my new project – Spring wall art.
When we are in the winter months, we countdown the days until Spring. I decided to create my own Spring. Something I could look at (like a window) to hold me over until Spring hits. I created this wall art using some Canvas Corp Brands paper called Spring Flowers along with the the Architextures Tall base called Chicken Wire.
Monica used:
Canvas Corp Spring Showers: Spring Flowers Reverse on Ivory paper
Architextures Tall Base – Chicken Wire
Collage medium
Copic Markers
Distress Crayons
Tim Holtz Chip Quotes and Botanical ephemera
Heidi Swapp resist 8×8 paper
foam tape, glossy Accents
Tombow glue, scissors, paint brush
I started out with 8×8 piece of resist paper and added Liquitex acrylic paint.
I then used a paper towel to dab out the paint from the areas of paper that had resist on.
I then added the Architextures Chicken Wire and sealed it with collage medium
I fussy cut several images from the Spring Showers Flowers on Ivory Paper.
I adhered them with collage medium and colored them using copic markers and distress crayons.
I popped up the bees using foam tape and added glossy accents to make them shine.
I added a butterfly from the Botanical Tim Holtz ephemera pack and a chipboard that said Take the Scenic Route.
Hope you got inspired to add some Spring decor to your home.
Thank you for stopping by!
