Altering old or used objects that we have in our homes is such a rewarding activity; whether we turn them into a re-usable household item or a home decor or a piece of jewellery… We’ll let you in on a little secret… even Tattered Angels have some gypsy in them! Yes, you got that right! Altering the old and giving second life to the used is one of the amazing things you can do Using Tattered Angels paints. Let us show you how to do it…
Our Crew member, Shel C shares with us how, with the help of some TA paints and stash she found in her drawers, she turned a small Altoid tin into a steampunk-inspired pendant.
‘I love to create art using items that would normally be discarded. This pendant or locket is a beautiful statement piece to start conversations when you wear it. It could also hold a photo or other keepsake inside. Or you could add a felt pad inside with a couple drops of perfume or oil to make yourself smell lovely! To create this item, I covered the mini Altoid box with some clay and glued on some findings. Then I painted it using Glimmer Glaze, Glimmer Mist, and High Impact paints to make it shine.’ – Shel shares her inspiration for the project.
