Hi all, it’s me Bea Grob. Welcome to my fun Halloween project – Vintage Style ATCs with the Papers from Canvas Corp Brands and the Glimmer Mists by Tattered Angel.
I have used following products from Canvas Corp Brands:
Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist – It’s Black, True Blood, Halloween Orange, Limeade, Majesty Purple
Canvas Corp Paper – Halloween Paper Collection
Canvas Corp Paper – Halloween Costumes on Kraft
I like to make ATC’s but usually not just one, but rather a batch of them. So I did start with a whole sheet of plain white Mixed Media Paper and did spray them in several colors from the Tattered Angel Glimmer Mist’s. I simply sprayed and also let them drip a bit. Next I did the same thing to a piece of cheesecloth. I did dry everything with a heatgun and made sure that I have some wrinkles in the fabric.
I then did cut the papers to size, the Background with Halloween Stripes on White is the standard size of ATC’s which are 3 ½ x 2 ½ inch. The mat from the sprayed paper I made the mat in the size 3 ¼ by 2 ¼ .Next I have prepared my focal images which came from the paper Halloween Costumes. Lovely vintagy images, especially also because they were printed on some Kraft Paper. I simply did cut them in the Diamond shape. I like to go around the edges with some Distress Ink, here Espresso to give a sort of a border. It just ties everything together, but of course that’s optional.
To give some extra something something, I grabbed some self adhesive embellishments in star form, any other shape would work too and I had my assembly line together.
To adhere the parts together, I did use doublesided tape and foam dots for the focal image, just to give a bit more dimension.
My first plan was to have to points to stick out at the top and the bottom, but I decided to cut off the bottom point and then went over again on the cut edge with Distress Ink. Again you can do as ever you like.
I hope you have fun making your own ATC’s and trade them with fellow artist.
Thanks for stoping by. Till next time.
