Today’s Wings on Wednesday get a vintage makeover! Sounds exciting, right?
Agnes Kieler uses her magic on an old hanger and changes it into a beautiful, vintage piece of art on which even the best dress will feel at home!
Let’s see how it’s done…
I like to create new things from old pieces and this time I would like to show you a new dress hanger with little angel head and small quote to remember all the good things we can get in life. I hope you will enjoy it and get inspired to makeover some of your old pieces. – says Agnes.
Agnes used:
Architextures Findings – Angel Wings
Canvas Corp Burlap by the Yard
Canvas Corp Tags – Chocolate on Ivory
Sizal in cream and brown colour
Mask – made out of a silicone mould
Piece of flat foam to cover the hanger
Old pieces of jewellery
glue gun,sicorss
First we need to choose our hanger and cover it with foam to make a nice soft and smooth surface.
Once our hanger is cover with foam, wrap it with burlap and glue it with glue gun to the foam.
As you can see on the pictures, one side of the hanger is nicely finished but the other side has some small left over cuts so on that one we will attach the angel.
Make my angel head by adding sisal as hair and pieces of jewellery as a hat.
The last bit of our work is to assemble all the elements.
Once everything is in place and the glue is dried, your new hanger ready to use.
I hope you got inspired and as you can see it doesn’t take much to create new look for old thing.
Have a great Wednesday!
