Today we turn the page and begin sketching for the next year to come. Welcome 2017! We look forward to spending the upcoming year with all of YOU. We love getting to know you, to see the Collective grow and to meet people from all over the world. Thank you for helping to share our products and philosophies of creative freedom, support of others and inspiring everyone to bring out the creativity inside. Our Crew leads the way in sharing our philosophies and we look forward to what the Crew has planned for 2017. One big area for the Crew in 2016 was to create a CCB Challenge project each month and wow did we make amazing strides. The entries were wonderful, the prizes were exciting and the challenges were fun and we think pretty unique – thank you for inspiring us! We will continue offering challenges in 2017 and truly hope that more will enter. We love to see your work and share it with our followers. Not only will there be prizes for the winner each month, but there will be a few surprises too.
This month our challenge is based on a popular topic – Word of the Year! Facebook captured your top used words quite uniquely, but do you have a word that speaks to you for the upcoming year or maybe one that you started 2016 with and it took you to new places? We want you to share your word of the year, or you may want to share your word for 2016 and tell us if you followed through with it over the past year. Dig deep in the dictionary and be creative – only your imagination is the limit. Maybe you will answer….why did you pick it? What did it mean to you? Did someone else give it to you? Is it the same word every year or do you pick a new one? Share with us your art and a bit of a story, that not only tells us your word, but something unique about why it is your word.
Here are the guidelines:
Type of project: Create, decorate, glue, sew or paint….. release your imagination and be creative!
Colors: Use any colors that appeal to you.
Last day to enter: February 5
Canvas Corp Brands Products: We would love for you to use products from any of our brands – Tattered Angels, Canvas Corp or 7gypsies, but it is not required to enter or win. If you use any of our products – be sure to mention them when you write about your project. #7gypsies #tatteredangels #canvascorp.
Social Media – If you are posting the project on your blog, YouTube, Facebook, Pinterest or Instagram, please tag us so we can like your project and give you a shout out. Please also join us in our Facebook Group – The Canvas Corp Brands Collective – where we would love to see your submission and you can see what everyone else is up to. Just jump over to Facebook and ask to join today.
Sharing – If you know anyone who would love to be a part of this challenge, please help us by sharing this blog post or any of the posts you see on our social media.
How to Enter – If would like to enter but have never entered a creative contest before or have not entered one with CCB, it is so easy. Just create your project, take photos and post it on your blog, YouTube, Facebook, Pinterest or Instagram. Once you post you can link to this post so we can see your project or you can submit it by emailing us the link to your project. We know this can be a bit confusing, no worries we are here to help. If you don’t have a blog, no worries, post on your favorite social media site or send us an email and you will be eligible to win. See below for more details on how to link up your post. All submissions must have #ccbchallenge somewhere to be considered.
Prize – We will pick one winner from all the entries to win a $25 Gift Certificate valid in the Canvas Corp Brands Online Store.
