2 lille layouts done 2 ways!

We’ve enjoyed reading the emails, comments and posts filled with your love for all things Lille
(we are equally as smitten with this CHA Winter collection)
There’s just something about the way the different elements of sketches, ephemera findings,
documents and bold letters combined in the Lille papers that make this a fun collection to work with.
To show you just how different this collection can look depending on your style, we’re
highlighting 2 layouts that were created with the same collection but with very different results!
First up is one that pulls in the layers, techniques and art journal
inspired elements we see emerging in all kinds of projects.
See how adding layers of paints, photos, rubbings, chipboard alphabets and tags to
the 12×12 paper really gives it a creative mess meets fantastic results?
Don’t be intimidated by the look of this, it’s all about experimentation and playing with inks,
paints, pen strokes and we just happen to think that the Lille collection lends itself to this look.

BUT…
If this isn’t a style that works for you, check out what another 7gypsies artist was
able to do with elements from the Lille collection as well.  It’s a much cleaner look that
incorporates both Lille and Conservatory collections with a few found elements.

look at how adorable our industrial gears look as the flower center?
