Hi there! This is Sue and I’m going to share with you even more mistable products from the many scrapbooking manufacturers.
First up, a floral acrylic page:
The clear scalloped acrylic is from Prima’s Build-A-Book Acrylic Page, which I misted with Chalk and Mint Chocolate Chip Chalkboard Mist. Yes, Chalkboard Mists work beautifully on acrylic. I misted the Prima flowers with Dazzling Diamonds and Chandelier Glimmer Glam for more sparkle.
I dabbed on Glimmer Glaze in Tide Pool and Chandelier on the Prima vintage metal trinkets, giving them a bluish tinge. And finally, I coloured the seam binding in Vintage Pink, Tutti Frutti, Forest Green and Hula Hoop Glimmer Mists, giving them a variegated look.
So you see, you can use Tattered Angels mediums on metal, acrylic, fabric and gasp! even paper! 😉
My next project is a layout of our recent holiday to the wonderful Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
This layout has lots of dimension from the many textures I used on it – burlap, canvas, lace and corrugated paper to name a few.
The flowers and leaves were cut out from Prima’s Mistable Canvas Sheet, which I coloured with Glimmer Mists in Sun Sisters and Tiger Lily for the petals, and Olive Vine and Clover for the leaves. I painted the corrugated cardboard with Cowboy Glimmer Glaze.
For my third project, I created a shabby-chic greeting card.
The base of the card uses Bazzill Basics Paper’s Glazed Cardstock in Stripe White. I misted the glazed paper with Vintage Pink Glimmer Mist. The glazed stripes resisted the mists perfectly and I achieved this pretty pink striped background.
The floral trim on the card is from Prima and was originally lilac. I misted this over with Chocolate Covered Cherries Glimmer Mist, resulting in a lovely vintagey brown-pink mix.
Thanks for visiting and do come back often to see what the other designers are creating with mistables.
Have a great week ahead. 🙂
Sue
