Organization and Storage… a bit of sharing!

Hey TA fans! Vicki Chrisman here. This is going to be a really fun month here on the TA blog, because the Design Team is sharing photos of our studios or work spaces. Lots of great hints and ideas on how to store your Tattered Angels Products.  You’ll want to check in regularly to see what each of the DT girls have shared.  I know I will be!  I’m excited about this. I always love getting new ideas for organization and storage.

I’ll start by sharing some photos of my work space.

I love fun AND useful organization! My room is not terribly big,… and I have alot of “stuff”. (I need to keep everything .. thinking I might need it sometime down the road, you know.) lol  … SO organization is key for me.  I’m a huge fan of labeling things, clear containers, and fun decorative ways to store supplies, keeping them out where I can see them.

I love “junk’n” and thrift store shopping.  I love finding discarded things, and re-purposing them to fit my storage needs.  I paint old spice racks for my TA products.  ( I tip all  the bottles so that I can see the color swatch labels on the backs)   I can easily group them together by colors or in collections if I want.

I spend alot of time in here, so I tend to change thing around in here often.  I find changing things up and putting new things out, now and then.. very inspiring

Like I say… clear jars and containers work well for me, because everything is in plain site. ( that way I cant forget I have it) lol

(below) I have used my closet space to the max. lol I have an old desser in there for storage, lots of clear bins on the shelves and I’ve screwed the lids to small glass jars, under the bottom shelf, so I can easily take the jars of embellishments down to use.

Below.. is the “not so fun” part of my room. lol  But it’s nessessary.  I do “create” here at times..but mostly … writing up supplies/directions .. emailing .. ect..

My “inspiration board” isnt too inspiring, I know.  But I try to surround myself with inspiration, but that board in front of my computer is my “in your face” ways of remembering what need to be done and when 🙂

Okay so now that I’ve shown you “where” I create, I think I better show you at least ONE thing I’ve created using Tattered Angels products this week.  Like I said, I love re-purposing!  This funky metal bowl is a junk store find that I ran accross a while back.     I used  Big Apple and  Organic Garden Glam,  and   Mellow Yellow Glaze on this project.

I love how it turned out.  It’s going to be a fun new peice for my table.

Thanks for letting me share.   This is going to be a fun month of sharing here on the TA blog. Stay tuned.

Have a fantastic day friends!

Vicki

I always enjoy seeing your studio, Vicki! I LOVE everything about it (I also use repurposed items and lots of glass jars) but what I am most envious of is that rack full of CS creative scraps and the spice racks full of TA mists!! What great fun!! : )
