With all of the great colors from Tattered Angels the answer is — not much.
I love the tone on tone look you can great when using chalkboard and glimmer mist together. For the background of this layout I used Firefly Chalkboard and Sun Sisters glimmer mist and a harlequin stencil from Crafter’s Workshop.
I’m not the only one who thinks these colors look great together… I finished this layout at the beginning of the month and then tuned into Tattered TV and there’s Wendy using these two in all their glory on a variety of surfaces and textures. Great minds think alike – did you miss that episode – not to worry – check it out here: 10@10 Chalkboard vs Glimmer Mist
Working with all the mists, glams, glazes over the past year has really opened up my right brain – I tend to be very sequential and linear (as you can tell by the above layout) so to remind myself that great things can happen when you just let go, I created this wall hanging for my craft studio.
Canvas is one of my favorite mediums to mist. For the background, I covered the canvas with a light application of Polka Dot Pink Chalkboard and dabbed it off with a paper towel. Then I sprayed Patina and flicked a little Pink Lipstick Glam. Then I took a scrap of Basic Grey paper and used the Butterfly stencil and more Patina and glued to the front.
I hope you embrace this philosophy too, I know you’ll be happy with the results. Until next time…
