Almost half the month is gone and we’re well into the second half of January! More canvas projects on the way. Stay peeled, will you ?
My first take – a canvas board i created with an intention to use it as an inspirational/ memo board.
On this aviary themed canvas board, I used Tattered Angels ChalkBoard Glimmer Mist (Peacock and Cotton Candy) and misted on with Tattered Angels (Garden Findings) Glimmer Screens. A coat of Tattered Angels Glimmer Glam (Tinsel Town) was used as a finish.
Next on, a card with a die cut butterfly. A die cut machine is really helpful in cutting out intricate and beautiful shapes. Here, i ran a sheet of canvas through Sizzix Big Shot and a butterfly die. The piece of die cut was then spritzed with Tattered Angels Chalkboard glimmer mist (Mint Chocolate Chip), Glimmer Mist (Carribean Blue and Meadow Green) and blended with pink distress ink. The names of these colors are simply delicious aren’t they!
On the die cut butterfly, white rub on was transferred onto the body of the butterfly. It acts as a resist when I added the mist. You might wish to use colored rub ons; I am sure the effect will be beautiful !
and lastly, a canvas tag mini. I was recently inspired by a song and this little canvas mini is where i store the lyrics. I dabbled with pigment ink, pink and green paint, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist Chalkboard (Peacock) and glimmer mist (Meadow Green).
Glimmer mist, ink and paint are such complementary craft mediums!
