Hi, here I am again with some more Tattered Angels inspirations for you! Take a cup of tea or coffee and have a sit:)
This month we are focusing on my favorite scrapbooking and mixedmedia tool – masks and screens! There are so many possibilies to use them, and the final effect is always cool!
On the layout below I used Prima “brick” mask to create a background for my grungy layout. To get more interesting effect I used a bit of black ink and a lot of Glimmer Mists in 3 colors: Gold, Mallard and Aquamarine.
On the composition I went really wild with colors too: I added also a bit of Tuscan Sun and Denim Blue Glimmer Mist to finish the composition. Red drops are made with Glimmer Glaze – Chianti.
I love the way how Tattered Angels products work together and with gel mediums and ink – amazing!
My second project with masks and Tattered Angels products is this journal page. It is a tribute to my aunt, who passed away last week. The old family photo was my way to express the feeling of loss we all have now… especially my dad who lost his “little sister”. To create background for this page I used tape, strips of paper and gesso together with Glimmer Mists in soft pink and yellow tones: Gold, Creme de Rouge, Tattered Rose and a bit of Black Magic.
The masks I used to make thepattern on the gesso and paper are Pink Paislee Mistables and Prima. They work toghether with Tattered Angels products!
And my last creation is another layout – this time with Tattered Angels Screens: Memento. I fell in love with these film strips – they match al kind of creations, from clean and palyful to grungy and dark. I prefer the last one, of course 😉
Not only the screens were used for masking echnique – I also used some paper tape to stick to the background and spray over it with Glimmer Mist in shades of red, yellow and orange: Marmalade, Harvest Orange, Sun Sisters and Golden Terracota. After drying I removed the tape.
I also traced the mask’s shades with a permanent black pen to make it more visible.
I sprayed a bit with Black Magic Glimmer Mist to expose the embellishments too and put a bit of Golden Goddes Glimmer Glam on the paper flower.
