A Collage of Canvases

The theme this month for the Tattered Angels Design Team is Canvas!  Canvas is the perfect place to spray, paint, pour and mist Tattered Angels paint products.  I have 3 canvas projects to show you today!

I have had this large canvas camera bag for almost a year now.  It finally all came together when I began thinking about altering it with Tattered Angels paint products.

I painted Dragonfly Glimmer Mist over the entire bag.  I misted Dragonfly Glimmer Mist lightly onto the edges of the front pocket.  I painted the back of the bag, the buttons and the canvas tabs with Glimmer Mist in Sugar Maple and Apple.  I also painted Glimmer Glam on the canvas tabs using Hayride.  Cowboy Glimmer Glaze was painted on the center of the buttons.  I could just layer and layer colors and never stop!

I die cut several Spellbinders die templates out of canvas.  I used Pomegranate Glimmer Mist and Chandelier Glimmer Glam on the label.  I used Spring 2011 – Bahaman Cruise Line colors for the heart and four layered canvas flowers.  I also stamped on the corners of the canvas pocket with Classic Accents, Screen Print Clear Stamps.

I swear every time I think I have found my all time favorite color of Glimmer Mist, Glimmer Glam or Glimmer Glaze, they rock my world with even more fabulous colors!

Ok, on to my second project!  An altered canvas.

“Live Life to the Fullest” is the meaning of my middle name ~ Livette.  My Dad created my middle name and it has always meant a lot to me.

This canvas measures 8 1/2″ x 11″.  I altered the entire canvas with layers of Glimmer Mist in Dragonfly, Sugar Maple, Apple, Pomegranate, and Granite.  I also used a Glimmer Screen, Heidi Swapp Tattered Textures Stamp and Field Notes, Screen Print Clear Stamps.

I also used the same colors to Glimmer Mist the floral ribbon, Rockin’ Renaissance Crepe RibbonsIrresistible Va Va Victorian Chips, and the Tattered Tags Frames and Flourishes.  The label is layers and layers of tissue paper I die cut using Spellbinders die cut Grand Labels Four.

My final project is a canvas 12″ x 12″ layout.  This layout uses the new Spring 2011 – Bahaman Cruise Line colors of Glimmer Mist.

I misted the 12″ x 12″ canvas with 2 layers of Rum Punch.  I also misted a Glimmer Screen with Rum Punch.  I misted the corners of the canvas with Trunk Bay and Sun Sisters Glimmer Mist.

Oh, aren’t you ready to go on vacation now after seeing these amazing new colors and reading their yummy names?

The ribbon was misted with Trunk Bay.   Puerto Rico was used on the canvas flower blossoms I created by die cutting canvas out of Spellbinders Blossom 3.  I also stamped the flower blossoms with Heidi Swapp Tattered Textures Stamp.  I add a Prima crystal embellishment.

I sanded metal corner accents and applied Pewter, Icicle and All That Jazz Glimmer Glaze.  Love how they turned out.

Mark your calendars and put a reminder in your cell phones!  Heidi Swapp will be streaming live on January 18th with a HUGE Announcement you don’t want to miss!
