There are so many mistable products on the market right now, and more hitting the shelves every day. I had so much fun doing my projects for this month because the brief was so wide open. This first page has a resist paper for the background so when I misted with Firefly Chalkboard and wiped off the excess the resist pattern showed through, I used a couple of other colours too and the resist ties them all together nicely. I misted the Tattered Angels crepe ribbon with Inchworm Chalkboard and a touch of Key Lime Pie Glimmer Mist. The prima flower in the top left has been painted with Glimmer mist and the Maya Road organza flower trim has been misted with some Chalkboard Glimmer Mist.
My second project is another scrapbook page. The background has been created by misting directly onto my mat and rubbing white cardstock around in it, each colour separately. The mistable products here are Canvas Corps burlap banner, lace trim, a Prima fabric flower, and a small piece of layered and stitched gauze.
Next up I did a Kaisercraft wood frame. First I painted it with black acrylic paint and gave it a topcoat of Golden Goddess Glimmer Glam. I clear-embossed a woodgrain stamp over a Glimmer Misted chipboard label plate so it would resist a second colour for a topcoat. Another burlap banner makes up part of the background, all of which had a coat of Golden Goddess before the layering of embellishments started.
Lastly I made a little keepsake of our wedding with an old wooden mini album I had. I used gesso and Glimmer Screens to create texture on the cover and coloured it up with Chalkboard and Glimmer Mists.
Then on the inside I used black paint and Golden Goddess Glimmer Glam again with some prima flowers, alphas and bling.
Thanks so much for dropping by, be sure to come back and see what the other girls have for you this month.
