I don’t know about you but I find myself inspired by some of the simplest things. Like rust on an old vehicle or peeled paint on a building, really anything vintage or grungy.
So it should be no surprise that I am loving the new American Vintage line. There is not one page from this line that doesn’t give me the urge to create!
For this particular page I’ve used the “state plates”. It’s so colorful and fun and because of the variety of color in the paper there are so many ways that you could customize your own artwork by pulling different combinations of colors to highlight. The colors that stood out to me on this were purple, yellow, and green…and then of course brown to grunge it up a bit.
Here you can see where I’ve used the mini hangers to hang my banners, one of my favorite ways to use them.
Again, instead of boring you with the details of how I created this layout I have a start to finish to share…

Awesome layout! Love the paper and the colors. One question -how did you hang the hangers?

Now this may not make a lot of sense with most of my pages, but one thing I learned early on when I started scrapping, is that when you design your pages it doesn’t have to “make sense”…it just has to be fun to look at. I personally feel that these hangers are perfect for so many styles from shabby chic to steampunk! They come in antique silver and brass ,and can be used in the way I have used them in the picture above, or to hold fun banners like I’ve used here. […]
