“Where is woodgrain? Maybe it is below. When you tear out first layer of cardboard you found interesting details for your work. Someone is forgot all memories on the wall.”

“Woodgrain… My project is done absolutely with all throwaway materials like natural wood, tissue paper holder, transparent box and Spearmint box. Got the wood cut from local carpenter and nailed the small barks to it. On tissue holder applied the crackle paste. Once dry, gave a coat of Tattered angels Glitter glam Rustic. Adhered Natural Burlap by the yard to the transparent box and gave some designs using same Rustic Glam. Gave a gesso coat on the spearmint box and applied rustic glam to give the woodeffect. Assembled and adhered all on the backside of the nameplate and embellished with gears. So the name can be written on the wooden log as the woodgrains are seen to give a natural look while the back of it is used as the organiser which makes it 2 in 1.”

“I thought this rustic woodgrain paper was perfect for this photo of my dad, who was a rustic, woodsy type. I added the wooden doors to frame the photo, the fussycut wooden crates from Architextures packaging, some paper woodgrain Scrabble tiles for the title, and a little bit of woodgrain stencilling with texture paste. I added tearing and some burlap for extra texture and a heartwarming quote, as my dad was a true dog-whisperer who loved his furry friends very much.”

“Inspired by woodgrain, I made a super cute gift tag. I wanted to use the texture of wood and found that the the 7 Gypsies Architextures Junque pack had a wonderful woodgrain in it. After choosing the woodgrain, I notice the packaging itself was peeling paint on wood and incorporated it as the base of my tag. Using layers and texture is something that is exciting to me, so I built more of those elements into my project. I can’t wait to attach this to a gift for one of my besties!”
