Matting scrapbook paper helps create the overall texture to the project.
The sides of the canvases were covered with paper for a finished look.

8″x8″ Stretched Canvas

Blue baby word paper
Black & ivory stripe, mini dot

Instructions:
1. Cover the 12″x12″ stretched canvas with a 12″x12″ patterned paper {optional: ink edges}
2. Cut 4- 3/4″x12″ strips of patterned paper to attach to the sides of the canvas.
3. Cover the 8″x8″ stretched canvas with paper and the sides of the canvas, mat a 5″x7″ picture and place on top of the canvas. Tie jute around the top of the canvas.
4. Cut 2-2″x12″ strips of paper and accordian fold them. Bring one end towards the other to create a half-circle. Attach to the bottom of the 8″x8″ canvas.
5. Cover the Canvas Mini shape with paper. Cut out a word from the Baby word paper and then mat it, cut triangles out on both side to create the banner look.
6. Attach 2 mini clothespins to the top and attach over the half-circles.
7. Attach the 8″x8″ canvas to the 12″x12″ canvas.
