Baby Keepsake Trunk

Michelle was thinking “out of the box” when she came up with the idea of altering Canvas Corp’s chunky canvases into a Trunk.  The trunk is actually functional with the lid that she hinged to the trunk.  You can take this concept and make it smaller or even deeper.  She made the illusion of individual drawers using a selection of vintage knobs.  If you came by our booth at CHA Summer you would’ve seen this first hand and most likely you were in awe with how it was beautifully constructed.

The Canvas Corp Pink & Ivory patterned paper was a perfect touch for such a wonderful project that any girl would treasure forever!

{Products used and Instructions below}

You can see in the picture below what it looks like on the inside and the depth that was created by cutting out the middle of the stretched canvases and then covered with the pink and ivory swirl paper.

Don’t forget to use Canvas Corp rope to be a functional piece for this trunk!

    That has got to be about the coolest, most unexpected use for art canvases that I have ever seen! What a neat idea.
