Hello everyone! It’s Cathy with a simple and fun project using Aga Baraniak’s Bohemian Romance collection! These matchbook notepads are super simple to make and can be personalized and embellished to fit any occasion or friend’s particular style!
They’d make fun wedding or party favors or just stash a few in your purse for some quick notes. And it’s super simple to adjust the measurements to make them bigger or smaller!
Products used to make the matchbook notepads:
Bohemian Romance 8×8 Paper Pack
Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist – Stone, Periwinkle Bouquet
White paper/cardstock
Scissors, Scor-Pal or ruler, Stapler
Choose a piece of paper and score it at the 3″ mark (or use a ruler), then cut the length of the paper. Turn the strip so the top of the paper is on the left and score at the 1/2″ mark and fold – this will be the lip that the cover flap will go under.
Take a piece of white paper/cardstock and score at 3.5″ along the short side. Then turn it and score every 2.5″. Cut the squares out – these are the papers for your pad. Make as many as you want but be sure a staple will go through your layers.
Put the papers together and staple to the cover under the lip – put the staple towards the bottom so there’s enough room to put the end of the cover flap under to close. Put the end of the flap under the lip down to the staple and then fold down.
These can really be embellished or made anyway you want!
I made these 2 smaller ones using scrap vellum I’d made from one of the papers for a different project.
The transparency is gorgeous! I added a sentiment using a paint pen on one.
These would be lovely with embossing on the front!
For the purple one, I used fancy scissors. And I made some artsy paper for the inside using Stone and Periwinkle Bouquet Glimmer Mists.
So many possibilities to create some lovely and unique gifts!

Thank you for this idea. In the past I have made these notebooks but I really appreciate the ideas that were presented here. The paper really makes the notebook stand out. I also love the idea of using the transparency paper. Very clever and pretty notebooks.
