Cassie from The DIY Club and her personal blog Primitive and Proper made this festive BOO banner using Canvas Corp products. It is a quick and easy project to dress up any mantle for the Halloween Holiday!
For this project I used….
White Paper
Pencil
Sharpie
Scissors
Canvas Corp Twine
Canvas Corp Black & White Diamonds Paper
Toothpick
Glue Stick
Black Glitter Adhesive Letters
Since we just moved and my craft supplies are not all organized yet, I am working best with what I’ve got! I drew with a pencil a ghost on one of my white papers. I then folded the paper in half to cut out two ghosts. Then I used my sharpie to draw faces on them. I set them aside.
Next I cut out little nautical style flags with the white paper. I had seen my pal Ali make a glitter banner in this shape and loved it. I used the self adhesive black glitter letters I purchased from the craft store to spell “BOO”. Then I cut out similar shapes from the Canvas Corp paper. The diamond pattern was a huge help to me since I don’t have my craft cutter. I was able to follow the points of the diamonds to cut straight lines and use them as guide points. I then glued my white flags to the diamond flags. Then I laid it all out…
then used a toothpick to poke holes in the corners of each piece so that I could string them onto my Canvas Corp twine. I strung them, and then took my string to the fireplace to gauge how long I wanted it. I made it slightly shorter than my pom pom garland so that it hangs a little higher, and voila!
Also, if you want to see how I made those creepy eyeballs, you can check out that tutorial here.
I hope you will come by my blog to follow the decorating and DIY-ing in the new house!
Thanks Cassie!!
