BREATHLESS MIXED MEDIA WEDDING LAYOUT

Creating a mixed media layout that matches the color palette of the wedding is so easy with our products and the blending of different mediums gives this layout so much personality.  Misty takes the neutral colors of the 7gypsies Harmony Collection and brings them to life with pinks, tans and pops of color.

Breathless Wedding Layout

Today I’m sharing a layout I created for my niece who will be getting married next week.  Since I obviously don’t have any wedding pics yet, I decided to use an engagement pic to kick start an album.

I started the page by applying a clear coat of gesso over the entire page.  Then inspired by the subtle flower pattern on the paper I used my rose stencil and modeling paste and created some random floral textures.

 My niece is going with the popular vintage gold, pinks, and peaches and I was able to coordinate perfectly with Tattered Angels Paints and Canvas Corp burlap.  I decided to use the Lt. Pink Burlap, Tattered Angles High Impact Antique Gold and Glimmer Mist Wedding Pink.

 I layered pieces of lace between the burlap to give it  an extra soft and romantic feel.  The rich colors vintage golds in the flowers and accents give the piece an over the top trendy vintage wedding feel.

I love the images of wedding certificates on this paper, and I wanted to give it an aged feel to go with the whole vintage wedding theme so I misted areas with Tattered Angels Cardboard Mist.   It is a great way to age paper, ribbon, flowers, fabric,etc.  I let the brown pool in areas an pressure dried it with a heat gun to create the tea stained look.  Tattered Angels has a wide range of neutral mists that are perfect for aging your papers in a wide range of tones.

I added one of the 7gypsies mini keys in antique brass to the slit I made at the bottom of the page and let a little lace show through.

 The Harmony Collection is a perfect starting place for any DIY wedding project from the guest book, memory album, layout, cards, thank you cards, photo crate or mixed media Canvas.  Misty created this Happily Ever After Layout with similar tones and colors, but a totally different amazing look.  With flowers made of Kraft Tissuestock, Assorted Printed Cardstock Papers and textures of Printed Damask Tissue, Kraft E-flute, Burlap, netting, chains and the Harmony Papers as the background.

7gypsies “Harmony” collection really is the perfect line for scrapping your wedding and engagement pics and I can’t imagine a better line to go with those vintage or rustic style weddings that are so popular right now.
