Today we have this lovely little Canvas and Burlap Journal to share with you created by Cindy Utter. She used a fun variety of embellishments and items to decorate in a unique, eclectic style that we just adore! Cindy did an amazing job of showing off the new 7Gpysies Architextures and just how versatile they are- they are the perfect addition to bring some real vintage charm to this journal. Take a look!
This is a fun filled completed burlap journal. It has a variety of pages for all to enjoy!
This is the front page of the journal. I added some gesso, distressed paper, and I also decided to use the burlap flower to be bold. Added some mesh bag, broken jewelry, and bits n bobs.
This page was all about purple and the tea cup. I used cardboard, some canvas and lace. Sprayed them with purple glimmer mist. Added some lace, stars and buttons for fun!
This is the last page in the journal. I knew I wanted to use the doors on the sheet of cardstock. I disressed them with Tim Holtz Distress inks. Used some fish net, some buttons, and a metal arrow to complete the old door look. Inside is a mirror and the saying “What appears to be the end is usually the start of a new beginning.” I thought that was appropriate for finishing the book
If you would like to see the whole journal completed, please take a look at Cindy’s flip-through video! She has amazing talent and the pages of this journal are so beautiful. Enjoy!
