Canvas Corp Round Pillow by Amy

Our featured project today is by Amy at Whisperwood Cottage, she made this simple hummingbird pillow using Canvas Corp’s round canvas pillow form.

This stenciled pillow project was so easy! I called upon my stash of DIY Club sponsor products to pull it all together!

SUPPLIES

• Round canvas pillow cover from Canvas Corp
• Americana Fabric Painting Medium from DecoArt
• Stencil Paint in Light Green from Decoart
• Scrap paper
• Hummingbird Stencil from Cutting Edge Stencils
• Foam brush from Rockler
• Stencil brush from Cutting Edge Stencils
• Old pillow
• Scissors

STEP 1: I started by mixing the the stencil paint and the fabric medium according to the instructions on the fabric medium bottle. I squirted the paint onto a piece of scrap paper and mixed it with a foam brush.

STEP 2: I placed the stencil on the pillow and used the stencil brush to apply the paint. I let it dry overnight.

STEP 3: I had an old pillow that was going to get rid of, but I thought it might work for filling the canvas pillow cover. I cut open the old pillow to see what kind of filling it had.

STEP 4: I pulled off small chunks of the filling and fluffed it by pulling it into smaller pieces.

STEP 5: I filled the pillow with the stuffing.

That’s it! I placed it on the chaise in our living room. A candle lantern with the matching stenciled linen tape candle wrap project was added to the side table. Loving all the spring green!
