CHA…CHA…CHA…Chalkboard

CHA is starting – and we are pretty excited to show our new products and of course the Color Connections. Have you seen already our wonderful new brighter and lighter Chalkboard Glimmer Mist Colors? They are really simply amazing and we wanted to show you some extra layouts that some of our design team members created with those new colors. Isn’t their work amazing?

Nicole:

Peg: using Alaskan Salmon, Apricot Nectar, Decadence, Polka Dot Pink, Sprout & Inchworm

Anna: using Alaskan Salmon and Inchworm

JJ: using Alaskan Salmon, Decadence, Apricot Nectar, Inchworm, Polka Dot Pink, Sprout.

For the background I sprayed various colours, let it dry, them embossed with a texture stamp.  I was able to then spray more of the same colours, but in different positions, taking advantage of the resist created by the embossing.   I also used a texture medium with one of the “Fanciful” stencils, and then sprayed “Polka Dot Pink” in that area.  The chipboard shape was coloured with “Decadence”, the grungeboard was coloured with “Polka Dot Pink” and “Inchworm”.  I died the lace with “Apricot Nectar”, and coloured the flowers with various combinations of Inchworm, Alaskan Salmon & Polka Dot Pink, or Inchworm & Sprout.

Mandy: Using Inchworm and little splashes of Sprout

I discovered your glimmer mists in November, and I’m HOOKED! I love using it for backgrounds, especially. If I were a chalkboard mist color, I think it would be Nervous Purple. A nice lavender with a darker purple glimmer… I’m so excited to try these! Would love to win. Best of luck to all! Christina.
