Chris' 'Dash of Sunshine' Card Kit ideas

Nothing brightens someone’s day like a a handmade card! And nothing makes a card brighter than a dash of sunny yellow! It is amazing how a dash of yellow brightens up any card! I can sometimes get overwhelmed looking at my supplies, trying to choose what paper coordinates with another paper. Using a card kit makes sending sunny greetings so quick and easy! So I have pulled together few of my favorite papers and I am excited to share with you this ‘Dash of Sunshine’ Card Kit I have created!

I build my ‘Dash of Sunshine’ kit using:
Canvas Corp Paper – Spring Sayings on Ivory
Canvas Corp Paper – Black and Ivory Zig Zag
Canvas Corp Paper – Yellow and Ivory Mini Dot Reverse
Canvas Corp Paper – Black and Ivory French Script
Canvas Corp Yellow Hemp Rope
Canvas Corp – Mini Natural Clothespins
Canvas Corp – Ivory Greeting Cards
Canvas Corp – Ivory Note Cards

Other supplies you will need include adhesives, pen, Scallop circle punch and coloring tools.

Here are examples of some cards that I created with my kit.

‘HOPPY BIRTHDAY’ CARD

Add Canvas Corp Paper – Black and Ivory Zig Zag and Canvas Corp Paper – Black and Ivory French Script to Ivory Note Card.

Punch a scalloped circle from Canvas Corp Paper – Yellow and Ivory Mini Dot Reverse and add to card.
Cut Hoppy Birthday greeting from Canvas Corp Paper – Spring Sayings on Ivory. Color images as desired.

Mat Colored greeting onto Canvas Corp Paper – Black and Ivory Zig Zag. Cutting left edge into a banner.

Finish card by adding greeting to card and adding 2 clothespins to greeting.

‘A Basket full of Blessings’ Card

Cut a 3 3/4 inch square from the Canvas Corp Paper – Yellow and Ivory Mini Dot Reverse and add to the ivory note card.
Add faux stitching with a pen around card.

Cut 2 x 4 1/4 Canvas Corp Paper – Black and Ivory French Script. Tie Yellow rope around end and add to card.
Cut greeting from Canvas Corp Paper – Spring Sayings on Ivory. Color images as desired.
Mat Colored greeting onto Canvas Corp Paper – Black and Ivory Zig Zag, and add to card to finish.

‘Plant Kindness’ Card

Cut three 1 1/2 x 3 3/4 strips from Canvas Corp Paper – Yellow and Ivory Mini Dot Reverse.
Banner cut ends and add to note card.

Punch scalloped circle from Canvas Corp Paper – Black and Ivory French Script. Add to center of card.
Cut greeting from Canvas Corp Paper – Spring Sayings on Ivory. Color images as desired.
Mat Colored greeting onto Canvas Corp Paper – Black and Ivory Zig Zag, and add to card.

Finish by adding clothespins to greeting and add bow with yellow rope.
