Create your own resist background…

Today I am going to show you an easy way to create your own resist background, using Tattered Angels Glimmer Glam and Plain Jane Mist. Creating your own background allows you to have your own unique layout, and I promise you, it doesn’t have to be difficult or time consuming at all!

To create my background I used white cardstock, a stencil from Crafter’s Workshop and the translucent Glimmer Glam Chandelier. I placed the stencil over my cardstock, applied the Glimmer Glam using a brush, removed the stencil and cleaned it right away and let the Glam dry on my cardstock. My result was not perfect, the Glam was seeping in under the stencil here and there, but I really don’t mind. It just makes the pattern created more unique!

When the Glam was dry I misted over my cardstock sheet, using two different colours of Plain Jane. I started by adding some of the darker Teal to the middle of my page and then added the lighter Aqua on the sides.

I then added photos, title, journaling spots and a few decorations and my page was ready! Polar explorer is the name of the roller coaster in Legoland, Denmark. I painted the letters of my title with Glimmer Glam Caspian Sea.

Here you can see the Glimmer Glam and the contrast against the non-glimmery Plain Jane Mist.
