Exploring different design styles is something we love to do. Some designers are purist, others mix a few styles together and others switch from one extreme style to another. Let’s have a little fun digging into different styles and see if you think this style is for you or not.
Liz Fourez of blog Love Grows Wild shows off her simple, rustic style. Liz’s bog features a wide range of wonderful simple creative projects for the home that add just the right touch. This style while having a natural, rustic feel is also very simplistic with a few items that come together to make a wonderful statement. Choosing just the right accessories that work well together and offer a simple composition is the best way to describe this style. Liz uses one of the Canvas Corp Fabric Panels, a pallet and the results are rustic, simple and fantastic.
When creating projects for this style consider very clean projects, but using vintage materials, rustic edges or distressed woods or finishes to make it work. Less is definitely more with the this look and we think it is pretty spectacular. An old grater becomes a focal point when paired up with just a few accent pieces. So if you love this style, take a few pointers from Liz on how you can bring it to life in your home. Liz just released her first book and we have had so much fun hearing about the process and congratulate her on being published – A Touch of Farmhouse Charm: Easy DIY Projects to Add a Warm and Rustic Feel to Any Room
