Do Your Best Layout

It is our second day with a fun focus on 7gypsies collections we love with a little throwback to Vintage Varsity.  This is an awesome line full of fun vintage sports papers perfect for scrapping your athletes young and old.  The collection is great because it is all about the sport, but in a subtle way, with no need to worry about colors not matching school colors or team jerseys.  The collection coordinates with your photos and puts them front and center.

For this specific layout I muted the background a little because I was wanting the red in the picture and on the burlap to really stand out, you can coat them with Mist (choose Simply Sheer there is no glimmer), Gesso or Tattered Angels White High Impact Paint.

Behind the photo I created layers with ephemera, burlap, and mini file folders...then used the 7Gypsies printed alphas, painted them white and then outlined them in black.

Since this is a pic of my nephew during football I thought it would be a fun little touch to give the page some football lacing with the braided rope.

I finished the page up by adding my title pieces using the mini clothespins and the statement DO YOU BEST.
