We couldn’t think of a better way to wind down the week, then by sharing our next featured crew member in our ongoing CCB series where we feature a member of the Canvas Corp Brands Creative Crew. These stories allow us to show you who our designers are, what inspires them, which mediums they enjoy working in and their favorite projects. We work with such an incredible crew of designers who love to share their latest techniques, projects and everyday life. The most exciting part of our journey is our crew can be fun around the globe. This allows us to travel to various locales right from our homes or work spaces and experience the traditional, modern cultures of our crew. Today our journey takes us across the globe to the home of the hobbits in magical New Zealand. Here we travel to Auckland where we introduce you to our next designer, Christine Santos. To learn more about Auckland, New Zealand visit Wikipedia.
Christine makes an incredible addition to our CCB Crew. Her presence on our team has provided us with so many levels of creativity. Her talent with paper and ink fills us with so much inspiration. She is a designer, educator, and blogger who describes herself as; “A 30 something year old CRAFT-A-HOLIC. A lover of all fun & pretty papers, color, flowers, sparkle, shimmer & ink. I’m a mom of 2 gorgeous bubbly girls and hail from Auckland, New Zealand!” We love it, “CRAFT-A-HOLIC” now that’s our kinda of girl. This is why we are joining her on a creative journey and watching her tell her story through her works and our products. We are so excited that she is apart of our creative journey and that we are able to share her world with our incredible community. Our own story is being told through our products, projects and through our incredible crew, like our featured crew member Christine.
Everyone of our Crew Members was asked to create a 4×4 Canvas that represents themselves and their personal style. Christine’s is so colorful. She describes; “The Canvas Corp Brands creative crew have done a 4×4 canvas that represents their own personal style. I created a new canvas for the year 2016 as my style has evolved. I personally think that I can never be more sure & happy with it. I’ve used the beautiful Watering Can collection for my canvas! ” Well said Christine! To make your own with supply list and instructions visit her blog!
Christine’s design style can best be described as…”I absolutely love creating all things fun & pretty. Did I mention I also adore shimmer & glimmer? Yes pretty please!
My style is “party on a page” fun, colorful & pretty all rolled into one! I’m obsessed with dimension & adding layers of mists, stenciling & stamping. Throw in some flowers, delicious scrappy embellishments, color, bling & I’m happy! The majority of my projects are mixed media, & when my mood calls for it I alternate to playing with layers & layers of paper. When you look at my layouts, my aim is to put a smile on your face!”
Christine was inspired most to be creative by….” My mom & my sister in law got me introduced to this craft, then there was no looking back from there! My children/family inspire me everyday to scrap pages that are not only fun to create, but also something I’ll forever treasure.”
What inspires you most today? “Photos & color are my main inspirations. They tell the story & liven up pages!” Christine always has gorgeous colors in her projects, we always get excited to see what she is creating.
What is your favorite Canvas Corp Brand Product? “Do I have to choose just one? Ok, if I can only choose one it would be Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists. I’m simply in love with the colors, shimmer & glimmer all in one. I use them a lot!”
What is one of your favorite Canvas Corp Brands Projects you have created? “I love these projects because they have punches of color, & I got to mix & match Canvas Corp’s awesome papers, delicious Tattered Angels paints, & fun 7 Gypsies charms.”
Do you teach and if so tell us a bit about what you teach, where you go and some of your favorite places?
I am the happiest doing…..”(as mentioned above).” Christine we also love creating projects when we can in our studio, especially when it involves coffee. There is nothing more exciting then a good cup of coffee…..We couldn’t resist sharing the project below that Christine created. It has all the colors of a coffee shop built into it using our 7 Gypsies American Vintage Papers. Here is a link to the full project; “An American Vintage Clock For Dad”
My favorite place to be creative…..”At home we have a really nice large dining table. As soon as dinner is finished, the dishes put away & tidied, & the kids are in bed, then mommy comes out to play with her crafting goodies!”

I am still blown away by how far apart our “Crew” lives from each other; but our creative souls are next door neighbors!
Would love to visit New Zealand to see all the sites, and meet my beautiful, talented “Crew Sister”, Christine. Keep up the great work; you’re a wonderful inspiration!
