What is ‘glamping’?, you may ask.
Well… it’s a trend that offers outdoor enthusiasts an upgrade on rest and recreation known as glamorous camping. When you’re glamping, there’s no tent to pitch, no sleeping bag to unroll, no long journey to find a bathroom. Whether you’re staying in a tent, yurt, airstream, pod, igloo, hut, villa, cabin, cube, teepee or treehouse, glamping is a way to experience the great outdoors without sacrificing luxury. Sounds good, right?!
Using Canvas Corp supplies, Deb Rauch has prepared a couple of glaring inspired home decor elements like cushion cover and table setting… are you ready?
My husband and I were looking at new campers. I really liked the Retro ones, but I knew the hubby would never go for it. So the next best thing would be fun, retro placemats! Off to Canvas Corp I went because they always have the canvas products I need/want. While shopping, I noticed that there were Cutlery Holders, how cool is that! The Cutlery Holders went into my cart, as well as placemats and a pillow cover.
Sheila used for her projects:
Canvas Corp Canvas Placemat
Canvas Corp Canvas Cutlery Holder
Canvas Corp Square Canvas Pillow Cover
Heat Transfer Vinyl
Silhouette Cameo
Silhouette Designer Software
Heat Press
E-6000 Fray Lock
Placemat and cutlery holder
Design the project in Silhouette Software and cut the heat transfer vinyl.
Place the cut out heat transfer vinyl on the placemat, cutlery holder, or pillow cover where you want it.
Put it in the Heat Press, close the lid and wait 15 seconds.
Remove the item from the heat press and remove the clear transfer sheet on top of the vinyl.
Apply a small bead of Fray Lock on raw edges of the cutlery holder.
Turn cutlery holder inside-out so the seams are on the inside.
Apply Heat Press Vinyl to cutlery holder.
How cute is this table setting??? Are you ready for a barbecue? We definitely are!
Cushion Cover
Place a thick piece of chipboard in the pillow cover before heat pressing vinyl. This will eliminate the “lumps” from the overlap where you insert the pillow form.
Place heat press vinyl on pillow and press it on the same way as done on placemat and cutlery holder earlier.
With plenty of various Silhouette designs available, all you need is a pile of canvas pillows and placemats so that you can make a set for any occasion under the sun!

Love this! I’ve been trying to figure out a way to spice up my pillows that are on my sofa, but I haven’t made my own since highschool (back when we had to walk 10km to get to school).
I’ll be giving this a try! Thanks 🙂
