We are excited to introduce our Guest Designer today, Jeannie DeGruccio. As you can see, she is a master of paper piecing and attention to detail.
This cute creation us called a shelf card. It consists of a platform and 3 different levels of areas to put embellishments etc. on.
When I first attempted this, I was using a normal grade of card stock (not Canvas Corp). I have to say, I had a terrible time assembling this the 1st time I made one and it was because of the quality of the “other” card stock.
Today, I had no problem what so ever. I used Canvas Corp Black & Kraft Gourmet Sampler, Bon Appetit Reverse and Ribbon Stripe. The Black & Craft paper is very sturdy and perfect to make 3-d types cards with.
I wanted to create a card that went along with the theme of the paper, so I embellished it with kitchen cut-outs. The phrase says
“We knead some mix thoroughly time soon.”
This is perfect for me to give to my hubby because with 7 kids, there is not much time for the 2 of us. I had so much fun creating something to go along with the paper theme and I hope you have enjoyed the card I created.
Thank you so much for sharing your creation with us, Jeannie! We will be seeing more of Jeannie soon! Check out her blog: http://polkacabana.wordpress.com/
