Spring is here, what better time for the Vintage Market Days event which was overflowing with amazing antiques, crafted treasures, handmade finds, clothing, jewelry, painted art, great signs with great sayings and yummy vitals. The crew headed out with a notion to pick up just a few little things and enjoy the sunshine. Our wandering creative eyes took us in oh so many directions, meandering each of the aisles making sure not to miss one little vintage treat.
Featured in Country Living as one of the 7 Flea Markets & Barn Sales Not to Miss in 2015 and we were so glad we did not miss it. Just down the road from our offices, the fair grounds in Bentonville came to life with booths that were so well designed and filled with carefully curated items. No two booths were alike and each one was well worth a peak.
We were greeted with this clever display that was suited to these vintage treasures as we entered the grounds.
We had to stop for a quick pic as we made our way from booth to booth. One thing you will find in NWA are pigs. We love our Arkansas Razorbacks and we cannot get enough, check out the DIY wooden Razorback hanging high above and this fun Arkansas state sign featuring a silhouette of the perfect little pig. This shopping experience has taken us from the cutest of crafty projects to hundred year old vintage finds and every where in between.
Booths inside and out let us enjoy the beautiful sunshine and amazing weather we were gifted with today. We loved all the creative displays from booths decked out in all white to this adorable trailer packed full of vintage finds and handmade items inside and out. Vintage fabric, burlap, lace (lots of lace), old wood, metal and unique objects to adorn many of the booths, making great backdrops for all there was for sale.
We borrowed a few photos from the official The Vintage Market Days Facebook Page, jump over to see more great photos of the event and to follow them, we are telling you it is worth the trip. The market is open this weekend, so pack you gypsy bags and head that way.
Painted furniture galore and this was so exciting to us as we get ready to release our new Decor and DIY Paint from Tattered Angels. We were so inspired to see so many unique furniture pieces being painted, not just old pieces, but art deco, 70’s hip and modern furniture, the hand-painted look made them all right on trend. Repurposing old furniture and home decor pieces is a great way to give your home a lift. Like milk and chalkboard paints, our unique formula will adhere to just about any surface, so beyond furniture and wood, we are painting on metal, plastic, acrylic, rustic wood, cork, peg wall, fabric, cast iron, ceramic, terra-cotta and so much more. Sshhh don’t say a word it is still our little secret, you can find out a bit more here.
We hated to leave all this vintage wonderfulness, but we had to go, so we gathered our goodies and went on our merry way. Our special little finds will stay with us until we can come again. Thank you to the vendors and the organizers for this amazing event, we are sending some gypsy and canvas corp brands love your way.
