More fabulous cards made by Kimber McGray of Jillibean Soup and The Card Kitchen monthly card kit club. They have some fun kits put together, this month they are using some of our mini bags and mini clothespins in their kit.
The halloween card is very simple. I cut down a chalk stock book mark and stamped Happy Halloween on it with white ink. Using a white gel pen, I added some faux stitching. Finally I used a circle tag for the ‘moon’ and hand cut out a few bats from the kraft pattern paper for embellishment.
For the star card, I stitched around the edge of a large burlap star, stamped on a small canvas star and punched hole in the cork circles to make buttons and layered everything on a large polka dot card base.
We love how she made the cork pads into buttons…genius!
Remember to always take a shape and shift it a little for a new look, like how she moved the Burlap Star Shape over to the side of the card and didn’t use the whole shape on the card.
