Halloween Countdown Calendar

What a fun way to look forward to Halloween!  Make a Halloween Countdown Calendar for you and others to enjoy!  This project takes a little time to put together and makes a great family activity.

An optional thing to do with this project is to turn the canvas shapes over each day and it could reveal a fun quote or a clue to find a secret treat hiding place!

The great thing about Canvas Corp paper is that our basic lines always go with our seasonal patterned paper!

You can mix & match the papers and even add more to each canvas shape.

Products Used:
Canvas Corp:  18″x18″  Burlap stretched canvas
6″x6″ Burlap stretched canvas
Black twine
Reg & Mini Clothespins {black}
Canvas Mini Shapes {triangle, rectangle}
Halloween patterned paper {kraft & white}
Silver Tacks
Other:  Rub-on, black ink, printout numbers, Beacon Adhesive
 
Instructions:
1.  Cut out the patterned paper to fit the canvas mini shapes {ink edges:  optional}
2.  Printout on a Word doc. numbers and then punch out with a mini circle punch.  Attach to shapes.
3.  Attach Silver Tacks to the sides of the 18″x18″ burlap stretched canvas.
4.  Use the tacks to hold the black twine, make 3 rows and attach the shapes to the twine using the mini clothespins, 10 per strand.
5.  Cover the 6″x6″ with Patterned paper and cover a regular sized clothespin with patterned paper also.
6.  Cover one of the rectangle shapes with patterned paper and add a rub-on to it {optional}, attach the clothespin to the canvas and hold the shape.
7.  Use Beacon Adhesive FabricTac to attach the 6″x6″ burlap to the 18″x18″ burlap.
