While Canvas Corp has a wide range of blank stretched canvases across wooden frames with no gesso ready to be altered in dimensions from 2×2 up to 20×24, a found one in the trash can easily inspire too. An almost ready to be dumped piece can change to something beautiful and promising and hopeful as it own story.
Crew member, Juli Ondrush shows how to do that with her video on an altered canvas and a nice selection of eye catching Tattered Angels mists.
“My friend brought me a couple canvas’ that she found in the trash and said “I thought you could make something out of them.” This is my life!!! Everyone who knows me knows i can’t turn down a trash-to-treasure moment! I was inspired by the Polka Dot Pink tattered angels mist to make some bright rain boots to always hope for rainbows, but also to remember to dance in the rain (that might or might not be a metaphor for life). Have a great day!” – says Juli!

This is what the canvas looked like when Juli started working with it.
Adding 7gypsies paper completely covered the drawing and transformed it into a nice background for her art!
“Trace two boots on the Canvas Corp Newsprint paper and glue them on the canvas. Cut toes, glue them and allow to dry.” is the next step as Juli says, before coloring with the Tattered Angels mists.Juli’s canvas is a nice example of how to transform any piece that seems to have no future, in something that everyone would like to have on the wall… and if you can’t find a canvas in the trash, why don’t you try altering one available from Canvas Corp in the shop.
