Canvas Corp has many great canvas blanks in a variety of shapes and sizes! Today, Kimberly is showing us how she used our Canvas Shield to make this fun wine banner. With just a few items she managed to create a wonderful piece that can be used for parties, gatherings, in your home bar, or even give as a gift! Read on as Kimberly shares her creative process with us.

The Process
First, iron the banner shield very well to get the wrinkles out and then set aside while you work on the other pieces. Fold the edges over on the back side of your printed canvas sheet and then iron them flat. Now figure out exactly how you want to place your printed fabric sheet onto the shield banner. Apply a small stream of the glue to the back side of the printed canvas, then press it down onto the banner.
Measure some cord long enough to run around the edges of your canvas sheet then adhere it with a very thin line of glue. Be sure not to use too much glue or it will show!
Now, let’s make some rolled cord swirls! Start with a piece of the cord and a sheet of parchment paper. Drop a small drop of glue about the size of dime and start to swirl to cord on top of it. You can start from center and work out, but this way can be a little messy. I rolled the cord in my fingers first and then placed it on top of the glue. Then arrange them how you want them on your banner and adhere them down.
Measure garland for the top, cut it, and adhere it to the canvas using glue. Now you have a lovely banner! So fun, quick, and simple. Have fun and get creative with it! You could even add a few splashes of Tattered Angels glimmer mist if you choose.
