Meet Aga Baraniak an amazing artist, mother and designer. This is her first collection and we are so excited to be a part of the process.
The collection began with a few hand-painted pieces, a quick introduction and a new found creative partnership between Aga and Canvas Corp and that is where the magic truly began. Aga was full of ideas, color and a wonderful style and Canvas Corp brought them to life in products and… a beautiful collection was created.
From the start, we wanted to think outside of the box regarding the entire process from the papers that were used, the paper thicknesses, the use of color and no color and the elements that we felt were most needed for just about any style of paper and non-paper crafting. The papers themselves are so beautiful they can simply be framed.
It has been a dream of the co-owner, Christine Meier, to partner with designers from around the world to bring their art, their style and their creativity to the market and this collection is a wonderful way to lead things off.
We hope you enjoy the collection and stay tuned for more to come, Aga cannot help herself when it comes to painting and designing and we are so very glad.
So what does a mother of all boys, who needs a little hobby of her own that she can work around sports practices, busy activities and lots of good boy fun, she finds her creative side and we are so happy that she did. WHAT IS THE NAME OF THE COLLECTION?
“Compose Your Life”
The collection is not only gorgeous, but it is filled with inspiration, beauty and positive thoughts. With each piece you create using the collection it is a true reminder to compose your life your way and live beautifully.
WHAT MAKES THE COLLECTION DIFFERENT FROM OTHER PAPER COLLECTIONS?
We think just about everything makes the collection different from other collections.
- The art is stunning and a one of a kind, hand painted by Aga herself and the collection was curated by Canvas Corp owner Christine Meier and Aga to create the perfect ensemble.
- The collection was designed to be used for any style of paper crafting, not a focus on just a few and we love that.
- The collection is printed on a variety of different papers, but the 12×12 papers are printed on a wonderful water-media paper that is amazing printed and painted.
- The collection features both vibrant, full color papers and black and white papers, so those who want to paint or mixed media the white papers you can make you own to coordinate with the collection.
- There is an 8×8 companion paper pack that features many of the prints in 8×8 printed on cardstock, thinstock and a selection of shabby chic handmade papers, so there is a paperweight and size for just about everyone.
- The 12×12 paper is not only textured but it is extra heady duty, making it ideal for fussy cutting, making cards, journal covers or layouts.
WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT ELEMENTS OF THE COLLECTION?
12×12 Papers
The collection begins with 15 mix and match 12×12 papers. They are printed on one side only, making them ideal for card bases, layouts, tags, fussing cutting, die cutting and so much more. You can see the full sheets in the shop. Buy them by the sheet or buy one each in this beautiful collection that features one each of all 15 styles – 1 each of all 15 styles. Many of the papers are featured in black and white and Aga encourages you to fill them with your color and style. The paper names are inspiring in themselves, each with words of beauty, blooming and ideas growing!!!!
8×8 Paper pack
This pack was cut to 8×8 making it the ideal size for traveler’s journals, card bases and so much more. What really makes this pack unique, is it is not 6 prints, 8 each to make a 48 sheet pack of the same papers printed on a thin paper, we thought outside of the box and crated this pack the way we wanted to….8 prints that are printed on cardstock, 8 prints printed on thinstock and 8 different handmade, unusual papers that add so much texture and dimension to collection.
Compose your life Traveler’s journals
We are in love with journals, planners, junk journals, agenda’s, bible journaling, art journals, sketch book, diaries and we are pretty sure these pretty journals can be made into any of these and more. One is in color and the other is ready to be colored, your way, your journals. Measuring 8″ tall x 5″ wide they are ideal for your next journal project.

Journaling is about writing things down, capturing a moment, a quick sketch or an idea and these cards are ideal for doing just that and adding them to any project. There are 6 different styles printed 2 sided and the pack features 2 of each, you are going to love them.
WHAT ARE THE IDEAL PAINTS FOR THIS UNIQUE PAPER?
Many of the projects feature Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist, wonderful watercolor pigment paint with a touch of mica, but you can use your favorite watercolor paints, markers or try other mediums to see what you like best. The paper is textured and wonderfully thick making it perfect for just about any paint or coloring medium.

A bit more about Aga…
I am 35 year old mom who 3 years ago found scrapbooking the best way to soothe myself after a whole day with my baby boys. I started with cards and now when I look back I see how much I have evolved from my first projects. I was not happy with the direction I was going when I started, but after sometime, I started experimenting with journaling and mix media and that took me to designing, painting and watercoloring. Now my passion has turned into a profession and that is one of my greatest successes. My hope is that my first collection will affect your hearts and imagination and will take you on a wonderful, creative trip with brilliant color. Enjoy! – Aga
