Let’s go grungy (again!)

Hi, it’s me, Finn!
I am so happy to have the chance to stay with Tattered Angels for the next year – I feel so honored and lucky! I simply love Tattered Angels products and use them in almost all of my projects… especially the grungy ones!

I’d like to start with a journal page which  gave me a lot of satisfaction and helped me to remember about the “fun” of making mess on my projects. It is made on 2 pieces of canvas, which were later put into one of my journals!

The products I used are Glimmer Mists mostly in shades of green and blue: Mallard, Snowy Pine, Patina and some other too: Sugar Maple and Black Magic. The final touch was added by Glimmer Glaze – Pewter.

My second project is the one which was the inspiration for the title of this post. This is one of the things I love to create the most – canvas layout. It is dark, it is grungy and full of little platic chipboard and metal elements from my collection. It looks so beautifully messy together, painted with Glimmer Mists and Glimmer Glam!

The colors I used here are: Sugar Maple, Black Magic, Olive Vine, Mallard, Bell Bottom Jeans Gllimer Mist – and to get the extra vintage look of the papers – some Crushed Shells Gllimer Mist. Finally, to get extra shiny look of the selected metal and plastic elements I used one of my favorite Glimmer Glazes: Hay Ride.

Finally – my last project is… a canvas collage layout too – this time more in blue, watery (ok, ok…dark, deep watery) shades! I love that color scheme and I am so happy when I can use it for my creations. This project is very important to me – i makes me remember how is it important to keep dreaming… I hope I won’t forget about this message!

What you see here is an effect of mixing 3 mdias together:  black acrylic paint, gesso and Glimmer Mists: Bell Bottom Jeans, Slate, Torqouise Blue, Frost and Forest Green. The layout was first painted with vlack acrylic, then misted, dryed painted with gesso and black acrylic again. The final touch is Chandelier Glimmer Glam on the top of the selected embellishments!

I hope you had a good time and I inspired you a bit – I wish you all happy creating!

best wishes
Anna – Finn
