Day two of our travels back to our favorite 7gypsies collections takes us to this fun nautical inspired card that is perfect for Father’s Day, Birthday or any day for your nautical loving guy. Tanya created this great vintage card featuring all the amazing colors of our Maritime Collection. We are posting this project in May in hopes that you will be inspired to make your Father’s Day cards this year and surprise those fathers in your life.
What you will need:
- 12×12 Sheet Barbed Wire on Kraft
- 6×6 Maritime Paper Pad
- Coin Envelopes – Kraft
- Tattered Angels Bronze Glimmer Mist
- Cheese Cloth
- Assorted embellishments
- Your basic paper crafting tools
It seems like I have good intentions to make and give cards for birthdays, special occasions and holidays but it never seems to happen. So when I purchased the 6×6 Maritime Pad I was blown away with all the possible projects I could create with it. I felt so inspired that I decided to make a Father’s Day ahead of time.
I started with a folded 6″x6″ piece of Black and Kraft Barbed Wire Cardstock as the base of the card and inked all the edges and then I dug into the Maritime 6″x6″ pad layering cardstock and fussy cutting bits and pieces to fit inside a cut down 3 1/8″x5 1/2″ envelope.
I spritzed some cheese cloth in Bronze Glimmer Mist and once dry tucked in and around the envelope along with thread, sequins and dew drops.
I finished off the cardstock by printing from the computer a Happy Father’s Day sentiment.
Thanks for stopping by!
