May Challenge - "Watercolors" - The Creative Studio

Almost in all social media you can find fantastic watercolor projects passing through your feed. We took up on that and decided to dedicate our May Challenge to anything to do with Watercolors. You can do SO many different projects using watercolors & we are curious on what YOU will come up with.

The How to:

To enter this challenge you need to link up your entry Blog post, or post on Instagram, Facebook or Pinterest (link to the actual project – not the whole page) by using the linkytool below. You have until the end of June 4 to submit your project! All submissions must have #ccbchallenge somewhere to be considered.

Only 1 entry per person allowed. Are you a previous winner? That does NOT exclude you for winning again – please join in!! We also want to you to include at least 1 item from any of the Canvas Corp Brands (please mention the product so we know).

We will invite the winner of the challenges to be our Guest Designer. This means that they will get a box filled with goodies from all 3 Canvas Corp Brands to play with.

We asked some members from the Canvas Corp Brands Crew to make these samples using Canvas Corp Brands products. If you are not familiar with the Crew, they are a part of one of the most dynamic, creative, positive, inspiring, world-wide design team in the industry.

his is a different attempt in my painting. After I sketched my design on the Burlap, I used shilpakar to emboss the outlines of the bells, dividers for rangoli on the left side of the design and the Weapon down. In some areas used Fevicol, a glue, to give a little texture work in the form of raindrops. When dried, used the Tattered Angels Mists Red, Green, Yellow and Blue from the basic Glimmer mist collection and coloured. When semi wet, I added Rustic Glimmer Glam Colour on some areas to get a sort of brown shade. I did not colour the face so as to leave the natural look of the burlap. Then used acrylic black to give the outline of Shiva. Coloured the embossed part with acrylics and used Liquid pearls for doing the rangoli design on the sides.

I love watercolor painting and beautiful Tattered Angels Glimmer mists too!Where will these colors be brighter and more visible? On the black and white, of course!! So I decided to draw white chalkboard girl silhouette on the black Chalkstock paper and add colorful flowers to her hair! I like this contrast effect
These flowers from Compose Your Life collection and colored with amazing Tattered Angels mists. Gorgeous elegant white frame is great final addition.

Artbook in the old book. The backgrounds are made in watercolor technique using Glimmer Mists. I wrapped the cover of the book with a printed canvas. I painted the prints with sprays.

I love that time on year, when you feel and see how nature wake up after winter. I took that atmosphere and saved it on my art journal book. Aga´s paper include so lovely flowers and I want fussy cutting them on my page. Watercolor background I made with amazing Glimmer mists.
