Hello my name is Shelley Haganman and this is my first post for Canvas Corp! I am just thrilled to be on this team and so ready to show you my first project. I truly love all things fabric and canvas so this project came together pretty quickly. I have an Ipad case but after I received my Canvas Corp Canvas Zippered Bag I knew I wanted to alter it and make it my new case.
First I tea-dyed my canvas bag to give it a rustic, vintage look. Once dry I ironed it and started gathering my supplies. I am not a very good seamstress so this project is completely sewing free! I simply cut my fabric (Tim Holtz) to the dimensions I needed and then using Fabri-Tac created the two pockets on the front of my bag. I lined the inside of each pocket. One with Canvas Corp Burlap Fringe and one with some vintage lace trim I had laying around.
I did the same thing to the back of the canvas bag as well! The pockets are great to hold my eyeglasses, notes of paper, pen, and anything else I might need.
I love how the whole thing turned out! Now it just needed a little bit of “bling”. So what better than the 7 Gypsies Travel Charms as my Ipad comes along on all of my travel adventures! I think all I need to add now is some type of foam on the inside to provide a bit more cushion.
I hope you’ve enjoyed my no sew Ipod canvas bag. I look forward to creating more with the wonderful products Canvas Corp Brands offers! Happy creating!
