Paper bag & More with Guest Designer Judy Willey

As winner of our monthly challenges you get invited to be our Guest Designer for a month. Judy was one of our winners during spring and today she share her fantastic work with the prize pack we sent her.

Hi, my name is Judy and I live in tropical north Queensland, Australia. I have been retired for a few years now and spend a lot of my free time pursuing my favoured hobbies – scrapbooking, card making, art journalling and a variety of textile arts. I was delighted to have had my entry chosen as a winner in the February challenge and was absolutely delighted to receive a personalised box of goodies to create with.

I have made a quick and simple gift bag using a recycled brown paper bag as my base. The gorgeous Canvas Corp burlap flower was perfect for a central embellishment and I used old book paper and a pearl brad to finish off the flower. I adhered that next to a 7 Gypsies pressure sensitive butterfly transfer, splattered some Tattered Angels Bon Bon Glimmer Glam paint and finished off the cluster with some die cut leaves , twine and a metal charm.

Here is a scrapbook layout that I created using Canvas Corp Birds & Bees on Ivory paper, cream and kraft card stock, old book paper, corrugated card , raffia and brown paper and the gorgeous Bon Bon Tattered Angels Glimmer Glam paint. I mixed the glimmer glam paint with white gesso to use with the script stencil as well as splatting with the paint.

This is my final project – a birthday card I have fussy cut some butterflies from the beautiful Canvas Corp Butterflies on Ivory paper and layered them on top of some dark blue burlap fringe and Navy & Ivory ticking and red mulberry paper. I finished off with a birthday sentiment, bling and some inking. A perfect card for nature lovers.

Make sure you enter our monthly challenge for a chance to become one of our Guest Designers during the fall!

the best way to find them is to look under the tab crew challenge on the top of the blog.

I live with my partner and my two children, in a small village the North of Sweden. I work as a Intensive Care Nurse (with Cardiology as speciality). My "style" is colourful and playful. I often use a lot of papers and embellishments. I try to have the photo in focus, and to reflect the feeling of the photo in the layout. I also makes cards and altered projects. If I would call my style something - well maybe Playful Punk Chic? (if i do a romantic layout, I can´t help giving it a playful twist...)
