Hello, I am Angélique Jarrier from Boule de Scrap and I have a new project for you today – a steampunk mini album.
It’s great for when you have just a little bit of free time and a few materials but want to make something pretty.
It is a mini photo album; very practical to take our beautiful memories with us.
I am a fan of both vintage and steampunk, so I chose to work with the magnificent Architextures papers.
Angelique used the following:
7gypsies – Architextures Mixed Media Pad
Grey Cardstock
Various metal charms and chains
The first step will be to reproduce the template provided above, and cut it out from a 12×12 sheet of cardstock.
I used grey cardstock which get wet with the papers I chose.
The second step, just as simple, will be to fold our album to put it in shape.
Just follow the photos step by step.
With the Architextures paper of your choice, cut out squares and rectangles to cover each of the pages of the album.
To age the papers and the album, ink the edges with your chosen color.
Stick the papers in place on the album base and add a closure system – I used a brad but it can be a magnet, a ribbon or anything else you think will work well. I also added an eyelet to be able to hang my key holder.
Your album is finished now but You can do what I did and add some metal embellishments to it.
When adding your photos inside, do not layer them too thick, otherwise your album will be hard to close.

I hope you like the idea and will have a go at making one of the mini-albums for yourself.
Happy crafting!
