I really love how wonderfully Tattered Angels and Stencils go together. I love to use plastic stencils, but have also found that laser cut paper, lace, etc work well too.
To create this Canvas Envelope and Canvas Postcard ensemble, I used Tattered Angels Woven Burlap Glimmer Mist, Tokyo Glimmer Mist and Bell Bottom Jeans Glimmer Mist, along with Tattered Angels Stencils and Canvas Corp Canvas Envelope and Canvas Postcards.
I was going for a soft vintage feel. Here is a close up of the Canvas Envelope.
The inside Canvas Postcards were really fun to create. A large manilla shipping tag is attached to each one, and stamped with my favorite quote.
I used a different stencil on each piece. I started by laying them down where I wanted to the image to show, then lightly misted over each stencil. I love to mist over certain areas to create a darker shade, giving it more dimension.
I am a Counselor by day…and I find that good quotes really speak to me. They help keep me focused and grounded.
I used a little piece of tape from 7Gypsies, and adhered a feather to this tag. I am really into tags and feathers at the moment as well. lol
The Canvas really soaks up the Glimmer Mist and creates a lovely misted texture.
Thanks for stopping by the Tattered Angels Blog today!
I hope you’re taking some time to create!
