Summer is coming to a close in some parts of the world and that means that school ends and our kids will get their longed-for summer holiday. Teacher gifts have to be prepared so why not make a card in the teacher’s favorite color? I have made two quite similar cards using the same type of supplies yet they differ in color and composition.
What you will need to make your own set:
- Value Pack of Greeting Cards or Canvas Home Basics Cardstock that you fold yourself
- Scraps of patterned papers cut to size (I have used Blue & Ivory Ticking & 7g Gypsie Moments Take our breathe way 12×12 papers and 7g Harmony 6×6 paper pad)
- Tattered Angels Mists to make splatters (I used Glimmer Mist “Casper Green” and “Jack Frost”
- Other decorations: die-cuts, flair, lace, flowers, twine.
For this card I used a piece of green cardstock, folded to the desired size. I added the patterned paper and then layered the pieces of small paper I cut from my 6×6 paper pad to create dimension. Embellishments like flowers, a badge, and a romantic die cut finish off the card.
The card below was made in a similar way but with different colored supplies. The small pieces of paper from the 6×6 paper pad provide dimension for the card. Again I have used flowers, die cuts and a badge for the finishing touches.
Both cards are simple but filled with details.
Thank you for your visit today!
