Here in England, the school year is finally coming to a close and children are attending school for the last week before summer break officially starts. With the end of the year, it is also time to say goodbye to some of the teachers and what better way to do it than with handmade thank you cards.
Canvas Corp Main Street Collection is perfect for occasions like this one.
Being all about celebrating anything and everything, the papers are a selection of flowery and geometrical designs in nice, muted colours that work together extremely well.
To complement the papers, you can also find 4 sets of tags that can be used on their own or as part of a bigger project – as you can see, I used them instead of a sentiment in my cards.
I am not a big card maker and my heart is more mixed media inclined but… I like to play with just paper from time to time.
It also gives me a chance to show some love to my collection of dies, which otherwise are left unattended in one of the drawers…
Using a variety of die-cut elements and some hand-cut flags, I created layered clusters and topped them up with a ‘thank you’ tag.
The cool thing about those cards is that they can be used for any occasion – doesn’t have to be a teacher. And if you use a different tag from the collection, the thank you cards will change into birthday cards, get well cards, congratulation cards and anything else you can think of!
With so many options… what will you use the Main Street Collection for?
